The point I was trying to get across with the preceding comic strip is that end product is rarely anything similar to the what got them there. In our society, "First Impressions Mean Everything" is an oft-used phrase. What people fail to consider, or could care less about is that what you physically see in a person doesn't represent them or their story in the least bit.
Just as those NBA ball players weren't born playing for the Lakers or slept in Madison Square Garden as kids, there are many who were doing great in life and went through something tramatic.
Therefore, don't let someone's situation lead you to believe that their character is the same.
There might be a really good person under the rough exterior, who just needs somebody to listen to their story. It's gonna sound corny but, think about how many times you heard say, "Oscar. Your such a GROUCH!" and then ponder how many times you heard someone ask Oscar why he's like he is or what got him there. Inversely, the man with the money and fame can have the ugliest heart in the world.
I guess what I would want you to take from my eternal ramblings is that we should try to find out a person's story before judging them. You never know what's weighing on someone's heart.
Those that smile aren't always happy/nice, and those that don't aren't always mad/evil.
